WON MERCH
INITIATION
I found out about this contest 4 days before the submission was due through a LinkedIn Ad.
At the time, I was heavily working on WON Academy, an education program that would be an affordable way for aspiring creatives to understand the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and business.
I ended up tying my goal to raise funds for WON Academy with the contest submission:
#WONMission: By retweeting this tweet you will help everyday dreamers launch their entrepreneurial and creative missions by buying the merch that raises funds for their education.
PLANNING
In last-minute fashion, I banded together 12 teammates and we developed the story for the video and the e-commerce site.
As Captain/Creative Project Manager of this mission, I organized my teammates based on their strengths and put them into the following committees: Story/Video, Merchandise Design, Website Interface, and Operations.
EXECUTING
From there, we set out to executing. By creating a 4-day timeline of tasks for each respective committee, we were able to see the big-picture and break it down properly.
We used Notion, committee group messages, evening AHOD calls, and email threads to keep ourselves communicating and updated with tasks.
By the end of the 4 days, our team created the e-commerce website with merchandise designs, entrepreneurial video story, and social launch campaign strategy.
RESULTS
Through our 1 week social media marketing launch campaign, we were able to generate enough buzz to become a last-minute qualifier for the competition.
